The global Alliance of NGO for road safety has scheduled an online workshop related to the incubator program that took place this Monday, 3 may 2021 from 2pm to 3.30pm CET.
SECUROUTE was part of this workshop which gathered 34 participants.
The main objective is to provide opportunity for the Incubator NGOs to familiarize with each other by sharing their incubator experiences and activities to encourage peer to peer support in their capacity development.
As other NGOs, SECUROUTE represented by Dibamou Mbeuyo Cyrille, presented its project in the incubator program.

The core activity of our project is an advocacy on Cameroon’s adherence to the road safety charter and vulgarization of the 12 Voluntary Targets, SDGs.
Our deliverable is the creation of a lead agency and the national observatory of the road safety in Cameroon, the operation of the road safety database in Cameroon.
We plan three activities for major events :
- UNGRSW: We will do the promotion of the 12 Voluntary Targets, SDGs.
- #CommitToAct : We will organize a workshop with the mobilization of NGO, road safety associations gathered around the Cameroon road safety coalition, the network of road safety companies gathered in the safeway rightway foundation, the transport union. The aim is to make every actors to be aligned to UN road safety goals
- Head of State Meeting : we will organize a round table to mobilize government actors in road safety and development partners. We will mobilize first of all the Prime minister and the Minister of Transport for the meeting, and also the government agencies and civil society
To reach our goal, we also plan an advocacy to establish a complete law on speed limit to 30km/h on urban area and 80km/h for rural areas ; an advocacy for a national seat-belt law for applying to drivers and all passengers.
